All flashl...I highly recommend protected batteries. All flashlights from Niwalker have very high Standby consumption. If you leave the flashlight with partly charged batteries,it will overdischarge them pretty quickly. I was busy for a week to check the batteries and found them at 300mV resting voltage. I was testing the MM18 and MM15MB as well.<br />Both killed their batteries-IMR unprotected.<br />My testing of the MM15MB shows 5,5mA/7,5mA(switch indicator Off/On) Standby current draw. 750microAmps with the switch locked. I just bought a MM15mb and it suggests high ...Howdy<br />I just bought a MM15mb and it suggests high drain batteries. Should I use protected high drain or unprotected or will it matter? I'm a newbie and do not want to ruin light or batteries. Great review on this light above by the way.
